ICENS lab engages in local projects to raise awareness on alternative models of sustainable economies, just transition and other sustainability issues. and support community-driven initiatives , including involving local communities in art-based activities to rethink and reimagine our economies such that they better serve people and natural environment.

Residency for Sustainable Libraries

Șerban, the founder of ICENS lab was involved in a series of insightful interactions, pedagogical workshops, and art-based activities on the topic of alternative models of sustainable economies that took place at the German Cultural Institute in Sibiu, Romania / Deutsches Kulturzentrum Hermannstadt (Oct-Nov 2025). Great collaboration with Institute’s staff, students from University Lucian Blaga of Sibiu, Samuel Onn (photography and participation) and local community, on a wide array of visions for an economy that could better cater for people and the planet, ranging from Green Economy, Circular Economy, Regenerative Economy to Purpose Economy, Impact Economy and to a Degrowth Economy, Ubuntu Economy and Buen Vivir Economy.
